3 Night Cherry Blossoms Viewing Spots in Tokyo│JHEG Minami-Kanto

Cherry blossoms, "Sakura", have long been popular as a representative flower of Japan.

In spring, many people enjoy viewing cherry blossoms.

Cherry blossom season in Tokyo is truly a fantastic experience.

Thousands of cherry trees are in full bloom, coloring the city a spectacular pink.

Cherry blossoms are a national interest, and people gather in parks for hanami or picnics to view and take pictures of the flowers.

Stores offer cherry-blossom-related products such as sakura bento lunches, and pink sakura drinks.

As if sweeping away winter, Tokyo is filled with a bright and optimistic atmosphere.

The blooming of cherry blossoms was announced on Tuesday, March 14, and although there was a temporary return of cold weather, many days were warmer than average, and the blossoms were in full bloom on Wednesday, March 22, eight days after the blooming.

Even in Tokyo, where skyscrapers line the streets and many people come and go, there are spots where you can enjoy the cherry blossoms in a relaxing atmosphere.

The combination of the glittering urban atmosphere and the lovely and elegant cherry blossoms is just beautiful.

Cherry blossom viewing in the daytime is great, but cherry blossoms illuminated at night have a different charm from those in the daytime and are very beautiful.

Night sakura, "Yozakura" in Japanese, is something worth experiencing.

Here are three Yozakura viewing spots in Tokyo.

If you want to enjoy fantastic cherry blossoms, please refer to this article.

1. Rikugien Gardens

One of the most popular Yozakura viewing spots is Rikugien, famous for its weeping cherry blossoms.

The spectacular scene is sure to captivate all who see it.

Visitors can appreciate not only Someiyoshino cherry trees, but also Oshima cherry trees and several other types of cherry trees.

The combination of the illuminated pink Yozakura and the Tokyo Sky Tree reflected in the night sky is a must-see.

You can see a fantastic and spectacular view that cannot be seen during the daytime.

This is a unique experience that can only be enjoyed in a park located near the Tokyo Skytree.

You can also enjoy the Yozakura from the river on Yakatabune (houseboat), which is highly recommended if you want a different hanami experience.

The entire park, centered around Inokashira Pond, is filled with approximately 400 cherry trees in full bloom, and the pale red cherry blossoms can be seen reflected on the pond.

You can also take a boat ride and watch the petals dancing in the air, making it a recommended hanami spot for a picnic.
